As of April 30th, 2017, Library PressDisplay will be migrating to our new PressReader platform. If you are a library patron/member, please contact your local library regarding this update. WHY IS PRESSREADER REPLACING LIBRARY PRESSDISPLAY?
Think of PressReader as the upgraded version of Library Press Display (LPD).
Our app and website are intuitively designed for a more engaging user experience. Our responsive HTML5 interface and personalization options provide users with a customized reading experience every time. Rather than patrons sharing a single library account, they can now create free user accounts that tailor to their needs. With PressReader, Libraries can offer patrons unlimited access to 6,000+ publications in 60+ languages from over 100 countries on their personal mobile devices, tablets and laptops.
AS A LIBRARY, HOW DO WE TRANSITION TO PRESSREADER?
Simply contact your representing agent or libraries@pressreader.com and notify them that you would like to make this switch. We will follow up with you on all the necessary tools and tutorials to make the transition as seamless as possible.
HOW DO WE ACCESS PRESSREADER?
There are a number of ways to connect to PressReader. If you are using this site through one of the library’s devices (computer/laptop/tablet) connected to wifi, simply open a browser and visit www.PressReader.com. This will grant you full access to all content, no sign in required.
You can also download the PressReader app, and connect your personal device to the library’s wifi network for access. Once you leave the library premise, you will be granted extended access (standard 24 hours) to PressReader. For more ways to connect to PressReader, please contact libraries@pressreader.com.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CONTINUE USING LIBRARY PRESSDISPLAY AFTER APRIL 30, 2017?
Library PressDisplay is a legacy product. It continues to run but we will no longer provide support for it. As of April 30, patrons trying to access Library PressDisplay will be redirected to the PressReader site (www.PressReader.com). We strongly encourage you to start the transition as soon as possible to prevent any issues that may arise.
